Kangana Ranaut calls Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt “below average pappus”

Kangana Ranaut who has been involved in a one-sided feud with Alia Bhatt for quite some time, has again taken a dig at her. Kangana’s team criticised the Raazi actor’s upcoming film Sadak 2.

Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film Sadak 2’s trailer became the most disliked video on YouTube just hours after it was uploaded. The trailer had about 5 million dislikes within 24 hrs. The film has been brutally criticised by trolls who believe that the deep rooted practice of nepotism is the cause of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Kangana’s team has also joined this hate parade.

While responding to a video criticising Alia’s acting in the film, and Kangana’s team wrote, “Somebody needs to find R  Balki he is hiding, he said there are no better actors than Ranbir and Alia. Sharm karlo, thodi sharm karlo, brainwashing ki bhi limit hoti hai (have some shame, there is a limit to brainwashing the public), both pappus are below average glorified by mafia media, their friends and fake awards, their time is up.”

For the unversed, earlier, filmmaker R Balki in a media interaction had defended Ranbir and Alia from the backlash that they’d been receiving in the wake of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. He in an interview with a national newspaper said, “The question is do they (star kids) have an unfair or bigger advantage? Yes, there are pros and cons. But I’d ask one simple question: Find me a better actor than Alia or Ranbir, and we’ll argue. It’s unfair on these few people who’re probably some of the finest actors.”

This isn’t the first time that either Kangana has taken a dig at Alia and her father filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who has incidentally directed Sadak 2. In a recent interview with Arnab Goswami,  she disregarded Alia’s performance in Gully Boy, and claimed that it was inferior to Sushant’s film, Chhichhore, which was freezed out in the year-end awards ceremonies.

Sadak 2 is a sequel to Mahesh Bhatt’s 1991 film starring Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt. The film has an ensemble cast led by Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur. The film will  released on Disney+ Hotstar.
