Vaani Kapoor has joined the cast of Abhishek Kapoor’s forthcoming film and will be seen opposite Ayshmann Khurrana. The yet-to-be-titled film is reportedly set to go on floors in October this year. Vaani, who is popularly known for her roles in War and Befikre, will play Ayushmann Khurrana’s love interest in the film.
The actress shared her excitement about joining the team in statement: “It’s a lovely heart rendering film. I have always wanted to work with Abhishek Kapoor, being so inspired by his films, this feels like an amazing opportunity to be part of his vision. Ayushman is one of the most talented actors of our generation and I’m only thrilled about our first film together to be this beautiful love story.”
Abhishek Kapoor, who has directed gems like Rock On!!, Kai Po Che! and Kedarnath, talking about the new addition to the cast said “ I thought Vaani was fabulous in Befikre. She’s beautiful and a very committed actor. I am looking forward to having her and Ayushmann on set. I believe their combo will be electrifying.” Abhishek Kapoor has not yet revealed many details about the film but has pitched it as a progressive love story set in North India.
